QOC Jerseys

Design
The jersey design by Kris Beecroft, Ted Good and Kathleen Lennon is intended to be colorful, well suited for year round wear, and deliberately quite different from other club jerseys. The dominant colors are navy blue, apple green and red. "QOC" is on the front right side of the jersey, with a new club logo on the back. MD, VA and DC are placed along the right side arm, just below the shoulder, while USA is placed on the left side of the arm. Two small Axis Gear logos are on the left collar and on the front, lower left. To celebrate QOC's 40th anniversary and in tribute to Ray Velasquez, our first club President, we have placed the original QOC logo in the lower right panel.

Supplier
We've chosen Axis Gear, a Toronto-based designer and manufacturer of high quality adventure wear, to produce these shirts. Other US orienteering clubs with uniforms made by Axis Gear include OK, DVOA and RMOC.

Jerseys
The QOC jerseys are currently being sold from our remaining inventory, so get them while they last. [If your size and preferred style is sold out, just place your name on a waitlist, since we will eventually place another bulk order at discounted prices, and the more interest we know of, the sooner the order gets placed.] There are several basic styles, all made out of a lightweight Primo Dry Weave fabric (which has exceptional wicking capabilities), dyed by a process called sublimation. The sublimation process dyes white fabric with color through heat and pressure, which maintains the fabric's wicking characteristics. Because sublimation dyes each thread of fabric, there is no peeling or flaking, and the material surface is left soft and smooth.

Pants
The Pace Pant by Axis Gear has been selected to match the navy blue in our new club jersey. They are a relaxed fit, airlite fabric with a back zipper pocket and are bulk ordered by QOC and sold for $38.35. Contact us with your preferred size if you'd like to order these pants.

Other venues for ordering orienteering pants include Compass Point and A & E Orienteering.

Sizes
Please view Axis Gear's sizing chart in order to find your size.
Note: Feedback so far is that the shirt sizing is a bit on the small side, so you may wish to err on the side of choosing the larger size in case of any doubts, especially for the XCR shirt.

Ordering
The easiest way to get a shirt is either at a meet or online. To place an order online for a QOC Club Jersey contact Kathleen Lennon. QOC will then send you an invoice by PayPal, assuming we still have your requested style and size item in stock. Note: you do not need a PayPal account to pay the invoice, just a credit card. Checks and e-checks accepted also. In your contact information you will need to provide the jersey style, size and then the quantity you'd like. Please see example:

We will also have samples available for you to see at most QOC meets.
